Hannah Steer is a North Carolina native. She is a Livingstone College graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. Hannah has always taken an interest in providing opportunities for those impacted by systemic racism. During her undergraduate years, Hannah counseled and mentored troubled high school students and has remained a resource for those within her community experiencing the effects of oppression. Disheartened by George Floyd's death, Hannah communicated her desire to support the Floyd family and committed to joining the George Floyd Memorial Foundation Board of Directors in November of 2020. Hannah serves as Treasurer for the Foundation, relying on seven years of experience providing accounting services in the non-profit sector.
Among other responsibilities, Hannah works to identify opportunities to contribute to the Foundations partnerships' growth and maintenance and its mission to promote social justice. She believes that being an advocate of change means being supportive, offering guidance, taking care of yourself and others.
